I was concerned about the condition of the filter capacitors on my Collins 516F-2 power supply. After some research I decided to get the Radio Farm kit put out by Barry W0IY. The kit comes with everything you need. There is even a retro looking new gray line cord because it will fail soon and it will not be pretty when it does. I recommend this update for several reasons, it replaces old failing filter capacitors, it can be configured to replace the rectifier tubes that get very hot also taking some load off of the filament transformer, and the load can be switched on and off using the included power relay thus greatly reducing the arcing on the front panel on/off switch.
