This is the exact schematic I have built and it works fine even with my 1.5KW amplifier. Just note I have added in line an extra 10 DB attenuator you can buy here:

The reason is because the maximum attenuation is 31db, but as I saw when the amp is on, it got to a attenuation level of between 30 ~ 31 db and even more, it meant that the attenuation was not sufficiant.
