This is my Howard Mills, W3HM restored Collins 32V-3 transmitter and 75A-1 receiver. They are very classic 1950s productions from Collins. Much like other vintage Collins equipment, and equipment from the era, one needs to be an operator and not just a spectator. That’s part of the fun. The more you learn about operating the rig, the more rewarding the operation.
Don’t be afraid to buy a vintage rig or any ham radio for that matter. I consider them rentals. I may not make money on them and in fact might lose money on them due to shipping or other factors like repairs, but I will be able to pass it on to another ham to enjoy and learn. There is always someone willing to buy them so that they may experience the wonder that is vintage ham radio.
Thanks for tuning in and happy hamming
Wes
