Here is My First 2×2879 Base and I hope it isn’t my last π
This is a custom build for a buddy of mine named Mr. Beavis and I am not talking about Buttheads buddy lol.
This is a Class C Driver but yet HD as well.
This is equipped with a Strong 50A Step Down Transformer. I have enabled the switched between the Middle Tap and the High Tap for use.
When the DPDT Switch is in the middle position the Amplifier is OFF.
Turned in the UP Position it is on the High Tap, and the Down Position is the Middle Tap. Middle is around 35A or so while the High is up to 63A of current.
Every single Capacitor that has anything to do with the Tunning of the Amplifier are Metal Clad Mica Caps. These capacitors are on the expensive side but are able to stay a little more stable at high heat then the Silver Dip Mica Capacitor.
Also there is a better chance of these Metal Micas keeping there Value longer then the Silver Dip Mica over a long period of time of Heating up and cooling down.
