This video shows the simple installation of the optional Collins Mechanical Filter in the Yaesu FT-857D transceiver. Yaesu offered three different optional filters – the YF-122S 2.3kHz filter for SSB (single sideband), the YF-122C 500Hz filter for CW, and the YF-122CN 300Hz CW filter. The video shows the 500Hz CW filter, and then verifies it’s operation while listening to several CW signals.
